Pierre Boucher

Pierre Boucher (1908-2000) studied at the School of Applied Arts before working at the journal Arts et Métiers Graphiques, a prominent French graphic arts magazine. He created the agency Alliance Photo, the first cooperative photo agency, with René Zuber in 1934. In addition to making commercial work, he explored a range of avant-garde photographic techniques, including collage, photograms and solarization. He also enjoyed photographing sports and the speed that it required.
